Briscoe won't come, why would he? Pryce in the reserves is boarding on a lost cause, looks really disinterested. Myler is under contract, would cost more than he's worth. Lynch is going to Cas, plus not that good.
Richards started at Wigan as a centre, it was a disaster.
I just want to see GB players in the squad, not Average Aussies.
Give the lad the odd game in the first grade or even involve him in the warming up, sure gets a player going inside.
How can you value Myler at such a young age, well worth the risk, as there's no-one else.
Lynch going to Cas - my link early in last page, says otherwise.
Richards, who'd of thought he'd be good-ish at FB, you develop your game, worth a risk for one game to see what it's like?
Well I wouldn't say the players that Bradford signed this year were that great with the exception of Menzies, rich coming from a Wigan fan with the dross we have signed I know but I think the difference is that Wigan aren't playing to there potential where as Bradford are just a poor side and badly lack creativity and poor signings at the start of this year have gone no way to fixing the problems. Regarding Peter Hood's comments about finances he's not going to come out and say their a sinking ship is he, in my opinion Bradford are papering over the cracks that Odsal stadium is giving them and there incredibly reliant upon the new stadium going through which obviously they would be.
Well two of them were good enough for their respective grand final winning teams, I'd say that makes them good players and good signings. Bradford are not a poor side one bit, there just out of form at the minute, the same goes for Wigan in my books also. Do you seriously believe that Bradford don't have more potential than they are showing at the moment? Seriously.
As for Peter Hood, why would he lie about the finances, the Bulls are not in a financial crisis, that's all there is to it. You've been listening to to many rumours I'm afraid like a lot of the RL community does.
The Bulls will be in the playoffs this season and you can bet your bottom dollar nobody will fancy playing them.

We have already tried Richards there and it didn't work, but I do see you reasoning for contemplating playing him there, he's a big guy, got hand skills and speed, that's probably Millward's thinking as well when he tried him there.
Myler is 'hot property' wpuld be difficult to get him to sign without promising him a good wage, this would leave us with two very young halves, not ideal especially behind a beaten pack.
Why Lynch? Simply cos he's available? Hardly set the world on fire this season, and defo not an enforcer prop like we need. Doesn't really take the game by the scruff of it's neck and led from the front does he?
Don't get desperate just yet. IL may pull a surprise out of the bag.
I think thats the best for all parties really and at least we can continue hating the little chump
Also in that piece Lenagan says he found 2 or 3 players he interested in down under that he feels will be really good for the club.
He wouldn't comment on the rumour that one is Brett Finch.
I wouldn't believe a word Sean Long said about anything. I also don't remotely believe that he'd have turned down any deal that meant he didn't have to move house, move his social life, etc, unless the money was significantly less than others were offering (in which case Wigan were doing the right thing by merely testing the water rather than making a big offer for him).

I would be astonished had we actually made an offer to Long.
That said IL does seem to be trying to bring back some Wigan born players.
I would now not be too surprised if the likes of Terry Newton will be back next year.
I keep hearing this, but I can't see how it would make sense.
It's not just Terry's age, or the fact that he's a jaded shadow of his former self - it's the fact that we don't need him. We already have three hookers.
I still think we attach too much importance to having "Wiganers" in the squad. Sure, it's desirable, but it shouldn't be the main critiera we apply. In fact, it should be well down the list.

maybe there's some truth in the rumours about piggy going at the end of the year??
