One per ticket is rubbish.
My sons used to be season ticket holders but now live in London so come up for big matches such as the Grand Final. With a capacity of 25,000 you'd think they would want to sell as many tickets as they can as fast as they can.
However, this is the rugby league we are talking about.

Originally the RFL wanted full control and didn't want to give Season Ticket Holders priority over their seats. So this is a bit of a compromise period for Season Ticket Holders to claim their seats rather than a full release onto sale, if that makes sense.

Well, what you've written makes sense but the rugby league don't make sense.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

The only problem is if you want to sit with your sons and the seats next to you are already held by season ticket holders.
If you wait until after the deadline you may be lucky.

I would think that they will still let season ticket holders have extra seats now but not the ones that are already held by existing season ticket holders.

Afraid not, see Bilko's post - the RFL didn't want people to have priority on their seats so as a compromise the DW are selling them two weeks prior to the RFL to give priority, but as such it's season ticket holders only at the RFL's request.

That's just daft. Doing something like that would have seriously annoyed a lot of people. I'm prepared to pay £40 for my seat for the game, but if I wasn't guaranteed it then I'd have been opting for the cheaper ones.

Indeed, hence why the club have fought tooth and nail to ensure people get priority on their seats. Don't forget this is the first time since Central Park that the UK side has actually played at their own ground, so it's a whole new scenario for the RFL to deal with.

One thing that will live with me forever regarding that Manly game was the deafening BOOM, BOOM, BOOM from the fireworks as Hanley slowly led out the Wigan team onto the pitch.

I just hope the club / RFL are going to recreate that. It will be a Sunday night in winter and the town centre and surrounding areas will be quiet. Nothing better than getting the game started with half a dozen of the loudest bangers available, will be heard for miles around..and would get the crowd buzzing even more!!

Hi Rogue,
I didn't intend to get my own seat, just some seats that were not belonging to season ticket holders. I rang Wigan this morning who said I could only have one seat per ticket. I am in possession of 2 season tickets. I alos rang the rugby league and said that they profess it to be a family game yet put obstacles in the way of core fans.
I guess I'll have to wait until the 29th.

It's just WIGAN, nothing else. Get rid of that stupid nickname.

Some of the posters on here do my head in.

They think nothing of spending £40/£50 drinking "bottled" beer on a night out and then moan at paying £20/£40 for a ticket to see the two champion teams from Rugby League in combat.

Have a few nights off the ale and save your money too go to the game.
Easy isn't it?

What if you don't go out boozing? Is doubling the prices justified?
They will struggle to get 15,000 if you ask me.
