Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
I hope they give it to them all, no exceptions. I feel if MM, SW & MB can get the best out of Coley, Riddell, Feka, Roberts and Fielden it would be like signing 5 new players. If those 5 can live up to their potential and past glories then we can really go places this season. I suppose only time will tell.
Yeah forgotten about him. It seems from the interview's with MM he believe's fitness is the platform to build the team up from, after all Melbourne haven't done too bad. If he can see the flaws in the team and build on them, then the team imo only has to improve slightly in certain area's to be a real force this season. Also listerning to Deacon he doesn't seem content with just one year. If he can move our team around the park, with the likes of a pumped up Fielden, Feka and co not too mention a year more maturer Sam, Joel, Mossop, Prekkie, and co then we could be up there, more so than in past season's.

If we can have a great pre season and a good start then I see no reason why we cannot make a serious challenge.

The pre season will be interesting as all the players will want to show up for the new management team the friendlies all have a little edge to them and all the players will be desperate to start when it proper kicks off against the Crusaders.
I love the way things are working out at Wigan, with IFL bringing some strong characters back to the club rather than men that do not understand what Wigan is about.
There are 2 missing from the equation, one is unlikely to come for some time, but i just wonder if the second could be taking over from Mike Forshaw in a years time?

Seems to me that Forshaw is in to assist our new conditioning coach and probably also help with the technical coaching of the forwards.
Now there is a certain ex Wigan captain, who is learning his trade in the conditioning game in rugby union and who i feel would be an outstanding person to have around the club with regards coaching of the forwards.
If there was a pathway to the top job as appears to be being put into place, the offer may well be all the more attractive.
An added bonus being he could well bring his son with him who will also be off contract after this year.

There is a rumour going round that he's been approached by England RL about replacing Smith.
