There's Twitter talk that Gelling has signed for Widnes for next season. I very much hope it's wrong and can't see why he'd sign if they might end up relegated. I also can't see us letting him go without a top quality replacement. Anybody heard anything?

Centre, Half Back and Back Rower supposedly being brought in fore next season, Gelling can go for me, the novelty has worn out, not consistent enough and picks up injuries easily

Any player can pick up injuries and the last 2 seasons pretty much the entire squad has been injured at some time or other.

Gells has always been rocks or diamonds but he's more diamonds the lady 2 seasons. I wouldn't let him go unless the replacement was top notch.

He's been poor this season but he's a good player and one of the best centres in the league. Great character to have in the squad too.

And replaced with who?

We don't have any centres on the books anyway and we're hard up against the cap.

Unless they have been let go we have at least two other centres who have also played for the first team but one is on loan an and the other is still U19s.

Gelling for me can go. Makes a lot of unforced errors and now seems to be struggling to even make a break. Not sure what the injury has actually done to him but his power & pace seem way off. He was handled fine by Kleinhorst last night, and bar the offload for TD try, he did very little. We need a right sided Gildart? I heard a rumour regards Sutcliffe from Leeds, is he not a centre? And a kicker too?

Gelling always takes a bit of time to get back in to the swing of things after injury and this time is no different. Once he gets going the brain fades lessen and what you're left with is one of superleagues better centres. I'd be gutted if he were to leave tbh. The amount of work he does for the team is superb and at his best he can be a fantastic player.

Thankfully I can't see there being anything in the twitter rumours.

There's a picture of him knocking around sat with the Widnes contingent on Thursday at the Wire game. I think people are putting two and two together and coming up with five!

Probably watching one of his pals.

Ridiculous post. I assume you didn't watch the game then? Gelling made 195 meters and carried 27 times!
