Im a bit concerned about this 1 year deal as it now seems. Don't get me wrong, hes a great player and I cant wait to see him play for us, but chopping and changing half backs every year isn't a situation we want to be in.

That's always been the deal; that's why we signed him, Leeds wouldn't offer him an NRL get out clause. I agree with you, but in his latest interview Jackson said he's 'over Australia now', he's happy in SL and if he's settles at Wigan we could see him here for the foreseeable future; nobody knows.
All we need is a home bird Wigan lass to catch his eye; get knocked up and keep him here in Wigan. Jobs a good un
The pessimistic side of me has noticed that since his signing a few months ago he has yet to acknowledge the fact he has indeed signed for us.
Whilst at Salford quite rightly refrained from doing so, I can understand that, right up to the point of the Grand Final. This is to be commended, nothing worse than an outgoing player waving a scarf around of a rival team.
Then he goes off to play for GB, again I can understand him wanting to do well for them. But in the article above not mentioning that he's looking forward to next season as well with his new club Wigan?
Not even a jot about us yet (or at least I've yet to see anything).
Like I said.... Pessimism. Just hope my gut feel is wrong.

Have to admit that I've thought the same.
The interview last week seemed strange that he never once mentioned the Wigan club. He constantly spoke about staying in England and I'd have at least expected him to have mentioned the club once or twice.
From every interview ive seen, he comes across as having a dislike of the club and only coming here because he simply could not refuse the contract/money we offered him. He actually sounds depressed about coming here when pressed on the subject.
I think once he’s in pre season he will be completely committed to the cause and give it everything. Don’t buy into the whole ‘he’s had a change of heart’ thing as much as it would be a very Wigan situation after our recent form in that department.
There’s no way on earth the club can deal with the embarrassment of our marquee signing having a change of heart or something along those lines. (Not that I think that’s the case).
My only concern in all this is, like someone mentioned above...if he goes back to aus in a year then it’s back to the drawing board in terms of finding a settled half pairing you can ideally build a team around.
