SBW has played for several different teams in different leagues and at different sports, he has proven himself to be very adaptable and performed at a very high level wherever he has been. I'm generally not in favour of signing older players however there are some exceptions. If SBW wanted to come and was physically in good condition he's that good I'd have him in a heartbeat.

He's worth a season depending on his wage demands. Our team is generally very young and his influence on the young lads would be a huge asset if he maintains his professional approach.

I agree, I think SBW is an exception to any rule regards previous imports, he's proven his talent across RL and RU with very little fuss, I think he would glide into Super League and run riot even at 34/35, pretty sure Minichello at Hull is similar age and he's pretty damn effective...however I think its a little bit of a pipe-dream tbh!

He is a clean living role model with a young family and an all round top bloke, from what I've seen and his influence could only be for the good of the club

I agree, he does not drink or smoke, he fasts and he prays five times a day. He will fit right in.

SBW is probably the most famous rugby player in the world.
Whatever contract he is offered it will need a substantial amount to sign him. Can't see the club actually landing him. By then Lockers will have finished and I'd imagine Sam T would be on a lower salary therefore money may be available. That is unless a real quality player on top money has been brought in to replace Lockers. I'd be very happy with SBW in a Wigan shirt but the logistics appear against it.

He's exactly what the marquee player allowance should be used for as long as an owner is prepared to chuck a few quid at him for a couple of years.

Any players from the Storm or Bulldogs we can sniff around? They both have to ease their salary cap and i am well out of touch will the NRL this season.
