Perhaps yes, but even so can you see smith staying here next year? I think if it was a viable possibility that he would want to stay BN and IL would be doing everything they could to make him.

Its been pretty much predetermined that once he got his head right again he would return home, and as far as i can see nothing has changed that. I wouldnt have any problems with him heading back after this year.


As for saying he's a better option that Orford, i suppose he is if you connsider he's already settled and knows the team etc, but with Orford you would undoubtedly get more consistency and a bit more leadership, something seriously lacking in our team.

If it came to a straight choice between the two for the next 2 years, who would you have?

With all these players re-signing with their clubs there appears to be very few now available or may want to come over here.
IL could well have a real job on his hands getting the quality prop and half back he was after.
So who's left who could play in those positions and of the quality we want?
Finch at HB, Webb at Prop. Anyone else?
