Weird timing this one, we all thought he would be gone but not this late. As has been said he’s been on the training camps with Wigan.

As bad as he was last year he did play every game was us, would be a miss so hope we’d have a replacement lined up.

Does this give legs to the Hock rumour? Wouldn't surprise me if FPN went and Hock came back.
Not bothered about FPN going but we need props and as much as I liked Hock surely his best days are behind him and he left under a very black cloud so don't see any real improvement to the squad if this is a potential deal

I’ve never known of a club to be making 3/4 squad changes this late, quite unbelievable really.

I’d rather sign no one than Hock.

FPN played every game last year and I know not many agree but I don’t think he was as bad as a lot on here made out. Of course he didn’t live up to expectations but he was steady and played under a system that probably doesn’t suit his game. If he’s leaving it leaves a huge hole in our front row that will have to be filled. Greenwood would be a great signing, Hock, not so much!

FPN was under the impression there would be some significant changes at the club, he was told this before he went home, this hasn't happened hence he wants a move and is willing to go semi-pro to make it happen. He will cop a lot of flack no doubt but in all honesty he has acted professionally, he has returned when he said he would and involved himself in all the club has asked of him.

There seems to be a real disharmony at present but I am sure it will all be sorted before the season starts.

Sounds to me like he is trying to find out how much the club are prepared to pay him to go before he signs elsewhere meaning he can then go semi pro with Wigan topping up ghis deal.

I don’t think we’ll be lucky enough to see FPN walk out on a full time contract to go semi pro but I hope I’m wrong. I backed him for the majority of last year but I ran out of patience towards the back end when his ratio of one decent performance in four or five games never improved.

FPN out with Greenwood in would be more then acceptable.

We won’t be that lucky sadly.

Fully agreed. I just can't see the club managing to secure Greenwood.
