There really isn't as much room on the cap for the signings that are rumored as people think...I would suggest its more pertaining to moving forward.

As much as I would love Joe Greenwood to join us it is wholly unrealistic and that is down to the club not really offering the fans an explanation for the situation we are in with players leaving/being released. I believe the problem comes down to renegotiated contracts from last year but I am in the dark as to why only now they are a relevant problem.

He seems to be backtracking now regarding the Greenwood rumour on the other forum unfortunately.

The players who got new deals last year are

Lockers
Williams
Joel
Marshall
Davies

Maybe that was a stumbling block in Lockers stalling on his new deal? A result of the money we have had to pay our skipper means we now have to release players? Or not enough left after Williams and Joel took their cut to allow the money needed for lockers so we have had to cut our rosta accordingly. Bloody Salary cap.

Marshall and Davies are not on big deals. We had spent up to the cap but now Mac is gone we have money to spare.

It’s in the WEP this morning that FPN is staying. We’d never be that lucky to see a guy on a good wage and who’s been underperforming walk away from it.
