If the reverse had been the case, such the former Cas player Dean Sampson had hit a Wire player and knocked him out cold, then Sampson would have got a ban.
We know that as he very often did, both!

Whats the point in appealing a ban? Surely the panel have looked at the decision, seen the evidence and handed out what they believe to be the correct punishment, so i dont understand how a player can appeal and for the panel to look at the exact same footage and come out with a different result

Come on! This is the RFL we're talking about. Literally anything could happen.

Carvell received 1 match for an offence carrying a 2-3 match recommendation. IMO that's a result for Carvell and they should slap him down for having the gall to appeal an already lenient sentence. However, I wouldn't bet against him playing on Saturday...

If thats allowed in the game now I hope we've got Briers and Myler lined up for a few this weekend. I wouldn't normally agree with challenges like that but they've obviously been legalised.

You know its allowed. You watch O'loughlin doing it week in week out. Mind you Briers and Myler are probably a bit on the short side for him to single out as his tackling technique is a bit more elevated than that. How he consistently stays on the field is an enigma that many of us outside of pie land have so far failed to unravel!!

Ahhhh the old O'Loughlin high tackling myth again.

I don't think i've ever seen him wallop anyone in the way Morley did on Saturday night. I'd love to see Lockers career disciplinary record. I'd imagine it's clean as a whistle.

If Pat Richards breaks the line on Saturday night and Mathers takes him out like he did with Matt King a couple of years back I presume you'll still want a 10 game ban?
