With the exception of Hock, who else at Wigan would you define as a reformed coke-head?
Do u think the Saints fans will give a monkeys about Barba’s off field antics when he’s ripping teams apart this season? I suspect not.
As I said, his off field issues can’t be ignored but before his suspension he was by far the best attacking threat in SL for me and I’d love to see some of his prowess in cherry and white, as long as he’s learned his lessons which we won’t know unless we give him a crack (no pun intended)!
Obviously I was referring to Hock and I stand by my point: I'm no angel when it comes to past substance abuse (watching AC/DC at Monsters of Rock a while ago stoned out of my tree on acid, was something I'll not forget - but I'm not a rugby player), if Hardaker's genuine about leaving all that behind then hunky-dory. I'm just not sure he'd bring enough to the squad we couldn't get elsewhere (& no, I don't know who or where) and we've had enough issues in the past with players (not just Hock) who's attitude was suspect to say the least & proved to be disruptive.
Either way, this is all speculation at the moment, he's banned until next year (or even the 2020 season ??), Cas will have first dibs, would he be the same star 2 years on, having been away for so long?
