Where have you seen this mate? I thought it was still impending? My understanding is that he was suspended by Cas for a failed test but that WADA has still not imposed the ban.

The article says he's been found a job with one of Cas's sponsors.
As Cas hold his registration and are supporting him in the best way they can I can't see him leaving them.

The thing is, if he doesn't make it, he knows he will be able to walk back into any SL side. That's not a criticism of our recruitment policy, just a realistic assessment of the disparity between the two leagues.

I'd be trying to use this situation to our advantage at an earlier stage. Surely a young/fringe player with NRL aspirations would see Wigan as a very attractive option, and may be encouraged to join us for a lower salary than Leeds, Saints etc given how quick the route is into first team then the NRL? Many will find it distasteful, but I think it could be a way to make this work for us.

I don’t think it’ll come as a surprise to anyone if he does go but I wouldn’t put it as a forgone conclusion due to family ties. If he does go I don’t think he’ll do a Burgess or Graham and stay long term.

I guess his potential departure is why Wigan look to be making plans in regards to Greenwood.

I am pretty certain the club are already resigned to losing JB in 2019 and a replacement is already sorted.

Didn't the club say he had an exit clause written into his contract if he were to get an offer from the NRL?
Might be wrong but I'm pretty sure they did say that.
Always thought the Greenwood rumour was for next year when Bateman has gone.
