100% correct, whether that is next yr or not is another matter. I think it will depend how he goes this season

I wondered if there might be a possibility of that after his RUWC debacle, but the Bunnies were a lot more determined to have him back than I thought they would be. Clearly, no bridges had been burned there.

Given that the current bookies' favourite to come to Wigan is Joe Greenwood, I can't see there's any hope of us luring Sam Burgess in the near future.

I’m sure that story is more hope than expectation. If he were to come back over here to play, It'll be for a year or two at the age of 34/35 imo.

If he does that there will be no reason why we wouldn’t have a real shot of getting him.

Hard to see Sam ever coming to play back in the UK. His family is in Oz (bar Luke) he married an Aussie and he's star status is pretty high over there.

I can see him retiring in Oz then doing something in the sport in different role.

You’d imagine that’s how it’ll go but you never know. I didn’t for one second think he would go and play rugby union but he certainly seems to have made his home in Australia.

Is Joe Greenwood a Saints lad? OR was he from elsewhere and just played for them?

From what I can see he played his junior RL for Saddleworth Rangers. He could still a St Helens lad of course but it'd be trek every week.
