If he was on buttons I'd take him as a squaddie to cover injuries so we can take some more time in planning how to spend the rest of the FPN money. Good player, but the career choices that he's made in the last couple of years suggest that he's half way to retiring.

Im happy to stick my neck on the line and be laughed at if I'm wrong. But if we get Dave Taylor my guess is that he would be worse than FPN, and easily so. The guys is so lazy and played like he's ready to retire for the last few years now.

If we sign Taylor and Hardaker then morals truly have gone out of the window at the club. Two players sacked from their previous clubs because of off-field issues (and one that wouldn’t look out of place on a mobility scooter at Disney World), is that the best talent we can attract now?

Ironically if we tie Hardaker into a contract and this is Wane’s last year, the new coach would have to suffer Zak’s antics.

I like both Taylor and Hardaker as players (although Taylor is past his best) but I don’t think we should sign either.
The Hardaker rumour really looks on now, it’s just been announced he’s been released by Cas, we’ve seen what happens to players coming back from 2 years in Union, this will surely be worse? Add to that the moral issue and the fact we are stacked at full back it just makes no sense to me.

I would expect a UKAD announcement as early as Monday with a club announcement shortly afterwards.

Unless Wigan are confident he’s only getting a short ban then I really don’t see why we’d bother. Who knows where we’ll be come 2020, some players will come, some will go and we’ll have developed more juniors by that point.

If what I am told is true their will be a major announcement of club ownership over the next few days with a Colombian Cartel taking a serious interest in the sport and targeting us with a hostile takeover. It’s the only possible reason why we would be looking at Taylor and Hardaker.
