With Cas having sacked Hardaker you'd deduce that his second test results are through.
What happens at his hearing and resultant ban we don't know.
That Wigan RL have been linked by quite a few sources suggest we are interested.
How it will run from here is the interesting bit.

I don’t think it is interesting I think it is blatantly obvious.

Wane and Wigan have been after and failed to sign Hardaker since he was 16.

We now have our chance and after he has served his ban he will be with us for the rest of his first grade career or until he publically messes up again (I know what my money is on happening first).

Melbourne have had players with issues too. The could have sacked Jessie Bromwich, but didn’t. They used education to change his ways. Would have been interesting if he’d been a fringe player and not such an important player to them.

Maybe Wigan will educate Hardaker.

How many examples of this do you Have?
How many players with poor playing culture have we signed?

Escare, Hock, FPN, Sarge, Bateman, Gelling jump out at me straight away without putting too much thought in.

Hardaker seems imminent.

It certainly will be.

A number of Cas fans are saying he’s shafted them because he was released from his deal with them on the basis that he would sign a new contract on a lower wage to cover the length if his ban before it was increased when he’s back. They seem to think in between coming off his existing deal and signing a new one, he’s been tapped up by Rads and has then signed a better one with us.

The lads a good player but he’s not good enough to go to that sort of trouble for. It all just seems a bit strange.

With the exception of Hock, who I agree ended up being a disaster, you're setting the bar for behaviour very high there, Jon.

We could go back through the history of RL - lots of clubs, not just Wigan - and find criminal records, domestic issues, violence, drug concerns, philandering, high-level stupidity in town centres on Saturday nights, etc. By its nature, the game isn't played by angels, and if you retrospectively wiped from the history books all those who hadn't aspired to that status, you'd find it very lacking in star names.

I can see that you're upset about this business, but I also think you're going a bit OTT.

When I asked which players had we signed I was mainly saying from outside the club, not players that were already here.
So forget Hock ( i would aay we had a duty of care in some ways to at least work with him during his ban besring in mind it came very shortly after Terry Newtons death).

You may enlighten me but not sure the extent of escare, FPN, Bateman or sarginson misdemenours were before coming to the club?

I know hardakers a tool and I'm not suggesting we should sign him etc.
Just don't agree that Wigan have somehow gone massively away from their "culture" to the extent your portraying. In a similar way to town I replied to NK over budgie about his attitude or desire.
