I only ever felt it was a long-shot, and an even longer shot that he might have come to Wigan AND rehabilitated himself.

I'd still have been prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, but hopefully this means a safer bet has come along.

Agree with Rouges, pleased common sense has prevailed and whilst I wish Hardaker every success with his rehabilitation and path back to the game, I’m glad it is not with us.

I am not a regular poster but I have a friend who is very close to the players and staff at the club and only last week I was told Hardaker has signed 100%.

As of late yesterday afternoon, it is extremely unlikely to be the case, sorry. It is from the horses mouth so to speak.

Was it ever on the cards and what’s the reason it’s broken down?

I must admit I’m not sure whether to be a little disappointed he hasn’t signed or relieved he hasn’t signed. I still think he would have been outstanding for us so long as he behaved himself.

It’ll be interesting to see which club does take him on. I have a sneaky suspicion he may well be Warrington bound with their aging squad and availability at centre (once Atkins has left). Throw into the mix his good mate Josh Charnley is now there and it’s certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.

Same here and the only thing holding it back is the outcome of the investigation.

AKA...he's been in more bother off the field and Wigan have rightly distanced themselves from him.
