Why is it ludricous, he can sign for who ever he wants once his contracts ended

So its gone from going to the NRL to going to Saints. Seems the NRL has spotted he is not as good as he is made out to be. ST going will be a set back but Gildart has not developed as he should have.

The lad has had a tough start to the season, hung on to a few too many he should’ve passed, missed one or two tackles and not been sintilating for 8 games. I wouldn’t throw him on the scrap heap just yet, as if he’s not developed his whole career.

Neither would I but he is still not a top centre or looks like becoming one for me Will be a good centre but that's where he will be for me. One area SL has been poor in developing is quality centres. We had Gleeson, Connolly, Senior, Newlove. around the same time Now we have Watkins and Bateman.

Both good players though but that is it at centres all England has.

Id hold back on the hysteria of the Saints transfer rumour instead of the NRL. For me this is agents doing what all good agents do; shop him around, push up the value, push up the signing on fee, more commission.

He hasn’t hit very good form yet but let’s be honest, he’s a class act on his day and for me is a certain England starting centre in the future. He’s an asset to us and IMHO he must be retained.

Spot on!

I’ve bagged the lad this year but only on the basis that I know he’s way better then what he’s produced to date. It’s his first bad spell in his first team career, everyone has them.

He’s an average centre at best, I really don’t understand all the hype about him.

Players don't go from one to the other very often do they
Why would a young Wigan lad with very strong links to the club sign for their arch rivals.
Saints are having a good season but overall I think we are in a better place and I would imaging he will be on an improved contract with us next year.
