just wanted to know do other teams fear us now? in the past we were so hit and miss but now that has changed what do other teams think when it comes to playing us.

Some sensible posts there but posters like the OP just lack class. Hull must have been sh1tt1ng themselves.

I must admit to having thought Warrington were more likely to take four points from this weekend than we were, especially after Friday when it seems they faced no opposition whatsoever at Salford.

They started this season with a bit of an aura about them, but increasingly it's looking tarnished. They're on level points with us, but we are not playing particularly well, have had several big distractions in the last few months and still have a game in hand.

That said, while some Wire fans may be believing their own publicity, I'll bet Tony Smith isn't. He must regard yesterday as a big missed opportunity to take pole position. He'll also be irritated that the chokers' tag still seems to be in place.

Expect a different Wire next weekend.

It seems to be a different Wire every weekend!

If Wire carry on like this then they won't be able to string enough decent performances together to get through the play-offs and win the GF. We've been inconsistent but our form isn't as all over the place as Wire's and while we've suffered a lot of disruption this year, Paaaat coming back could well mark a turning point in our season. We have Fielden and Hock to come back into the side too. I'd say we are in at least as strong a position as any of our rivals, Wire included.

I suppose the real test will be when we go to their place. If we beat them, as we did last year, it will be a big blow to their title-worthiness. But that's the sort of game you'd expect them to get massively fired up for. The irony, of course, is that it's the games like the one they lost yesterday - which normally you'd expect them to win at a canter - which sort out whether or not you are genuine champions-in-waiting.

Throughout Noble's era, Wigan were well capable of beating top sides on their day, Leeds being a prime example, only to then lose a week later to someone of much lesser calibre - as a result we never really came close to being champions.

It's a cliche, but to be the best you've got to beat them all.

Exactly, even if they beat us at the HJ it will be irrelevant if they lose the week after

Consistancy is key, weve posted the least defeats of any club in the competition, even though weve not hit top gear IMO.
