Can any one tell me about a player called Mick dean. Apparently he signed from Leigh around 1990.

His first game was a Sky game against Widnes IIRC. He played well after being a surprise replacement for injured Derms and remember being totally baffled as to who he was or where he had suddenly appeared from. He played pretty well in that game and then scored in a 50-0 (ish) win against leigh at Central Park and then we signed Martin Hall. Dean went off to Halifax I think but may be wrong

I remember being at the Widnes game and it was a complete surprise. Nobody knew who he was

He was, signed pro from St Judes not sure if he's still involved though. He was signed to add some experience to the 'A' team around the time, as was Steve Frost a centre (might have been a few years earlier though), also from Judes. Both very good amateur players.
