I rarely concern myself with transfer talk these days. We’re notorious for not discussing potential targets and have been for years. Under the current chairman in particular, we have been a club that just ignores speculation and in the vast majority of cases, we only ever go public when there is something definitive to say. I’m sure we’ll see Hastings in a Wigan shirt though. The rumours about him and Williams just seem too big to be wrong.

It's a good point really. I think as the club confirmed we were in for Hastings 2018 for 2019, and the fact that we need a half we could be all putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

Hopefully we're all on the right tracks with Jackson.

I believe we'll chase his signature for sure, the club confirmed we made a big play for him last season which highlights are interest in him as a Wigan player. However will Jackson want to be a Wigan player? And if so for how long? Pure speculation, but he could well be looking for a NRL deal, if that happens I imagine it's his first choice.

I hope we're chasing 2 half backs to be honest, if Williams goes, I wanna see a new 6 and 7, creative players to fit what Lam wants (if Lam is the stay) who can get the most out of a strike running fb like Hardaker.

I’m sure by now the club knows exactly what the coaching structure looks like for next year so I’m not sure why that’s all still under wraps. After probably the most turbulent year I can remember off the the field and the poor form on it, a real injection of positivity would be very welcome.

Im not sure a lot of fans would see the annoucement of Lam for next year as a positive though?

They’re probably hoping for a couple of positive results in these next two fixtures along with some good rugby being played to then announce it pre Saints away. Three weeks back they’d have been crucified for keeping him on but if we get the five wins on the bounce they’ve spoke of, with some signs of our general play improving then the response should be a lot warmer.

Why would Cas let him go early and help us out? They'll just dual reg him with Featherstone until the end of the season.

Agreed. We're back to winning ways but are we playing well? No, not at all. Sloppy in attack and lightweight in D. Just look at the tries we let in against Huddersfield.

I'm still yet to see what Lam brings to this team.

It could help them out too. Getting a player off the cap they have no intentions of playing as part of the first team. Free up the space, bring someone else in or renew an existing contract.
