If that’s true I think questions need to be asked of the conditioning staff. We’re about 10 weeks off the end of the season, so that’ll be one guy with a hamstring done for ten weeks +, after we lost two for about five months each. I can’t remember the last time we lost somebody with a hamstring injury for more than 4-6 weeks, so to lose three with long term injuries seems extremely unusual. I usually just think an injury crisis is simply bad luck but when you can’t think of many hamstring injuries of this severity in 30+ years watching the game, 3 in a few months sets alarm bells ringing. Much like French at Salford, Leuluai clearly couldn’t have been right to be strapped up like that from the off, Lam also mentioned Gildart felt something the day before the Leigh game but was still going to play, only to feel it again in the warm up. You have to question why he was going to be playing if he wasn’t right the day before?

It would not be the first area of the club to have ‘cut its cloth accordingly’ in the last two years. The assistant/academy conditioner was the one who stepped up in this instance I think. Added the link below. We’ve ‘gone in a different direction’ according to Radlinski at the time. Might be a bit harsh to judge with the current circumstances in the last 12 months but it’s hardly been a rousing success so far.

Brodie Croft has been linked in Salford and it looks like Brisbane are willing to pay some of his wages too.

I always thought he'd have been a good option for us.

He’s a good player who will go well in SL but given we are probably running with Smith I think he’s probably too similar.

I fully expect we will be going with Field and Smith in the halves for 2022.

Yeah possibly.

Interesting to see Flanagan has been dropped again (3rd time this season). I wouldn't be surprised to see him over here & the Bulldogs paying his wages too.

I agree mate but seems weird we were in for Williams if this was the case.

Surely the money offered to Williams will be used on a half.

We have to sign a half, even if it’s as a cheap back up option. It may be Leuluai goes round again as that man but you can’t go in to a season with just two inexperienced halves and no back up whatsoever, regardless of how skint you are. I’m probably going against what I’ve said before about just taking what we get given due to financial constraints but you can’t commit suicide. Even if it’s a championship half or Tommy going round again, they need somebody.

Owain Abel (19 year old full back or half back) is back at Pilks, no idea why Saints haven't kept him. He's absolutely tearing it up at top amateur level and played well for Saints reserves pre-COVID in what games I saw, I hope Wigan have at least taken a look.

Wigan sniffing around Corey Norman apparently.

We’re definitely behind the pack if we’re left with Norman as an option. He’s definitely got talent but seems to be trouble.
