Have to eat humble pie and admit Lenegan has this strategy spot on. At the time when key players were leaving us for the NRL I was furious & bagged IL a bit on here. Time has passed, you have to say he got it right. The majority of players who went have left have come back to us. We have had the added benefit of a transfer fee. Lenegan has just played the cards he has been dealt.

Report out this morning about Gildart going down there this year or next year. Who can blame him?

Given us 6/7 great seasons, won plenty of trophies etc. Now ready for a new challenge, go over there for a few years, test himself, get well paid, enjoy a great lifestyle whilst he’s in his mid 20s then come back probably to us.

I don’t begrudge the likes of Williams, Gildart, Sutton. It’s the JBurgess Rushton that are frustrating.

What’s annoying is Wigan seem to lose more than most, but that comes with having the best youth system in world rugby. Wish wire would lose a few players that they didn’t want to lose.

If Wire start to produce any players of that quality then thats when we need to worry in my opinion.

Looks like it’s a done deal 3 years. Not sure what to think to be honest, he has never stood out for me. Looking forward to seeing what he can do for Wigan.

Yesterday's game v Wakey proved we need another experienced prop out there. There's a limit on the number of inexperienced front rowers that can get you through a game.
Although it was an inexperienced half back who's drop goal won us the game.
