I stand corrected, I didn’t look at the playing stats for 2019 for Lockers.
That being said I’d still be a little wary of offering any new deal. I don’t doubt that on his day he still does a bloody good job for us but those days are few and far between for me. The only issue with him sliding into retirement now is a ready made replacement. Long term I see Smithies in the 13 shirt but as of right now I don’t think he’s ready for that responsibility. Probably why Lockers will get a new deal for 2020.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.
You've literally pulled up something from me from a year ago? If you remember we let Tomkins go which meant we had a free marquee spot. So we had the opportunity to bring in a high calibre player. Would a high quality half have improved our 2019 season? Did we look like we would have massively benefitted from that? That would be opinion.
Bur of course that is completely not my point. My point is posters basing their comments on option not fact. Did I ever say we'd signed any of the players you listed? Was I making claims on our recruitment structures on opinion? No. We had an available marquee spot.
I'd have loved us to bring in a quality half, the reality was we didn't have the room to sign a marquee player (they still count for £150k under the cap). I'd love us to bring in a quality half now as well but the same problem exists, it's unlikely that we have the cap space, or that we would make such a key signing this late.
No one on here can give you facts because we don't have the figures. The best anyone can do is look at the fact we've got starters for every position and some depth, and look at the history (we hardly ever, if ever, make key signings this late) and deduce that we're more or less done. The rest of our off season will almost certainly consist of Lockers contract renewal, fringe players (Escare/Sammut/Navarette?) leaving and MAYBE a little movement with Championship/academy lads.

-Don't know why you're referring to posts I made over a year ago. I don't know or to be honest care a year later if we had room on the cap in 2018 to bring in a marquee player. Tomkins left on a marquee; opens up room for another signing. Nevertheless it was a year ago -SBW was signed just last week, nothing to say clubs still or won't make big signings. -You said the room we were making is to upgrade existing contracts. I questioned why. Turns out it was your opinion, no more -No one on here can give facts? Disagree. Some people have sound knowledge and contacts meaning their words and posts are based on something genuine; not just opinion. Additionally I also mentioned rumours which are from good sources; like Moley, who is usually pretty spot on with his tweets.

I disagree,in my opinion no one here has knowledge of individual contracts,it’s all guess work that’s not to say people are bang on about a player coming or going but the contract very few will have detailed knowledge of it just an opinion.

I never said people have knowledge of individual contracts. Seems words are being put in my mouth.
No one is claiming to know what wage the players are on. All we're doing is speculating that there will be money in the pot - how much is anyone's guess.
Not sure why that's so difficult to digest? We have a live cap, meaning that all the signings + guys who were on contact for this year had to be accounted for. The league doesn't let you sign guys with the promise that you might be able to shift guys on to free up cash - i.e we can't bring in anyone new or upgrade deals, without moving someone on first. There's no grey area on that one.
Now that players who had a contract for next season have left, that money will be available.
