What world are some supporters living in where the signing of players in the present financial situation is concerned?

Blake Green to leave warriors at the end of the year.

I admit I don’t watch every warriors game but the ones I’ve seen he always looks decent.

If he’s anything like the 2013/2014 Green, he’d be the ideal partner for Harry Smith, with French providing the xfactor at full back

A world where they’re probably bored and just throwing some names around to pass the time maybe. I’m pretty sure the vast majority know signings are the least of our worries but with so many players off contract, it’s only natural people will speculate. If the club comes out and says we’re stone broke and will need to run with kids as replacements I’d hope everyone will go ‘fair enough’.

Blake Green was fantastic for us in hindsight. Not sure I fully appreciated how good he was at the time. Regularly came up with big plays at big moments as well.

I said to my son last night that Green could be a good solution if Hastings was to return to nrl
Would help Smith and give us some needed experience with the potential exits coming at the end of the season

Other than Smith I’m unsure as to which other half’s we’ve got coming through the academy

Even though he is 34, there aren't enough halves who are both quality and available to not at least consider bringing Green back.

If it's true that Hastings is going and we're using his Marquee spot on Bateman, then our replacement options are limited. Not sure how much gas he has left in the tank, but he could be an inspired stop gap for 12 months letting us introduce Smith into the side more gradually.

Whilst he was superb in his spell with us I’d not want Green back unless we explored plenty of other options first.

Obviously he brings the experience we need but he is a player on the decline.

I’ve watched a bit of the Warrriors recently and he’s the least of their worries. He’d still do a job but it’s tough to say how happy you’d be to sign him unless we knew the ins and outs of the clubs financial situation and who else is coming/going. If it’s a case that we’ll be skint, Hastings and Leuluai go and we have Harry Smith and Josh Woods left and the option is sign Green or don’t sign anybody then I’d be more than happy to give him 12 months. If it was a case that we have available funds and there are a number of younger/potentially better options but we go with Green as we know what he’s about then maybe not as happy. You can’t keep just signing halves for a year here and there if you can help it.

Kyle Eastmond a free agent after being released from his contract. He'll want to go to a top club if he returns to league and we're probably the only one in the market for a half back. Frightening talent at times when at Saints albeit I've not followed his career in union
