Hank did win player of the year at London and given our lack of players in that position I think we should probably be bringing him back to compete with Thornley for left centre.

Player of the year at London means nothing. There’s a reason other SL clubs aren’t interested in him. As for Thornley, the least said the better it’s an appalling signing. I did deliberately leave out Bibby and Isa to make a point but even then it’s not much better reading.

Next year in the backs we’re looking like;

1. French
2. Marshall
[starts well]
3. Thornley/Hank
4. Bibby
5. Miski
6. Smith
7. Miller

Probably the worst backline for a Wigan we’ve seen in a long time. How there’s only ‘apparently’ £75k left of the cap is beyond me. It’s almost criminal it’s been spent on dross like that.

I take it that is the spoken about £73, plus money for a half that hasn't been signed.
If/when Zac leaves I trust that'll be even more available for signings.
