Fair play to them they are certainly going for it & it's a great team on paper. I just feel with Hull FC that we've been here before, they've spent big but not really cracked anything apart from the CC.

Also history always points towards the top sides being those that have a core group of lads that have come through the academy. Look at us or previous Leeds and Saints team for perfect examples.

Not sure if anyone else listens to the Matty Johns podcast, but Sam Burgess is on this weeks edition and he specifically mentions George Williams being at Canberra next season.

Whether it's our club, or Canberra holding it up, they need to sort it. It's borderline disrespectful to Wigan fans not to address it when the rumours are so rife. Hopefully they're looking to do good news/bad news announcement with a new signing coming in as Williams leaves.

I fear how much weight I'm putting into Hastings signing, if he does, I'll be over the moon, if not, and we're looking to start 2020 with the halves we currently have minus George; it's much disappear.

The fact Leeds are now on the brink of announcing Lui, plus this morning’s rumour that they’re after Sezer is a great sign that they’ve missed out on Hastings. Salford getting Lolohea and rumoured to have signed Kevin Brown for next year points to Hastings moving on. I’d be absolutely stunned if we’ve not got him.

The worst thing about this situation is, as I've said in a previous post, that the fans are now eagerly anticipating the capture of Jackson Hastings. And yet, no official at Wigan - as far as I'm aware - has said anything about us pursuing him.

So, if he doesn't sign, the club could get villified even though he was never even a target.

That said, I'm hopeful too because I do think that, if they weren't after him, they'd have come out and said that by now.
