Hastings with a try and four try assists today. Probably the next Man of Steel which would be a nice marketing tool for 2020 season tickets.

If he can cope with an increase in expectation, he should run riot next year on the back of a more dominant pack.

Hastings is a freak of a player, I haven’t seen him have a bad game yet and he’s gained over 30 assists this year already, he’s easily the best halfback in the league and like previously mentioned he should be even better next year with better players around him

The big hurdle to get over for Hastings is the pressure of expectation that comes with the marquee tag. He’s also coming to a club which has the expectation of challenging for honours rather than hoping to avoid the drop.

You’ve gotta be impressed by Hastings, Watson and the whole of the Salford set up. Even if it’s just for one year I think we’ve got a star in Hastings.

Just watched the highlights of his performance today and it’s just freakish. A complete package of skills, from deft kicks in behind, to perfectly timed short passes, long cut passes sending players in and him breaking the line at will.

It should be a pleasure to watch him.
