I don't think it would do any harm for us to maybe pay a certain percentage of escares wages if he went out on loan, maybe that would be more attractive to other super league teams

Escare is clearly on the outer at the club. It’s only a matter of time. The longest it will run will be till the end of the year, as I don’t see anyone coming in for him at this stage and on his rumoured wage.

The best bet for me would be a loan move if/when a team picks up an injury in the back 3.

Id agree, hes sitting on his deal so far it seems, wigan daft enough to hand him such a long deal then he's entitled to it but its a short career so much like Samutt id be amazed if he sees the deal out though as you say a loan move will happen a month of two into the season.

.

He's more than entitled to sit it out, but long term he's potentially being a bit of an idiot imo.

The more he sits in the stands the more his value depreciates imo. Imagine, for example, if he's on £100k now and he's being offered a 3 year deal @ £70k elsewhere - yeah he's £30k down for 2020, but who's to say that after a season on a sidelines, anyone is going to come to him with a similar offer? He *might* be looking at a lot less for 2021 which negates sitting on the sidelines this year.

If I was him I'd take a 3 year deal Vs waiting out my contract.

But has he had any offers?

Why has it all gone so wrong for Escare? When we signed him I thought he was a great signing and would give us that X factor we had missing. However the last 18 months has seen him fall out of favour with coaches, club & fans a like. Is there something more to it than simply falling out of favour, or am I reading too much into it?

From a personal POV it's the impact he's having on our recruitment plans that's turned me against him. Not entirely his fault, but last season was absolutely awful imo and whilst I'm looking forward to 2020, I'd be a hell of a lot happier if we had another HB or 2nd row.

ATEOTD his wage could go towards getting that missing piece which could be the difference between champs or chumps.

Any indication who? Hopefully it's a bit unit too as we're missing a bit of size imo.
