I don't think he will but why would he take a massive drop. If you told me that I could play park rugby for another 12 months on that sort of contract or go to Wire for a fraction of that salary, tell me which park pitch you want me to turn up to, with my boots, this weekend. Players are in it for the money.

Correct and hence why we are still lumbered with Escare

Yes but surely as a professional sportsman you’re shooting yourself in the foot long term by thinking that way? I may be completely wrong but hypothetically if he thought he would rather come across here and put himself in the shop window by playing well like a lot of lower end nrl players have done, and ended up playing their way back into another crack in the nrl in the future...then fair play.

It’s like escare probably knows he will never get a contract again like the one he is on with us, and he’s just happy milking every penny without ever playing, and not fussed about going out on loan etc...which he’s got every right to do. But he is only damaging his own career moving forward by doing that as you just become irrelevant by not putting yourself in the shop window by playing top flight regularly.

There's been an article this week on Wigan Today saying Wakefield are keen on signing him full time. There's a good chance he may go out on loan there this season, just can't see him getting any game time with us.

Rumour they’re making room for Luke Thompson. Would be a blow for Saints if he leaves anytime soon.

I wouldn't lose any sleep about it. Its about time other clubs are raided on an annual basis.

the last 12 league games we played 12 won 10 wit ha 1 point defeat and a 2 point defeat. It was one hell of a 2nd half to the year.

When we lost away at wakey mid season i remember throwing the tv remote across the room thinking were gone.

The Richards disallowed try had sent us down I thought. Was fuming as I thought he'd scored until I got home and saw a replay but I was convinced that was it.

It was that disallowed try that caused the flying remote.

What an emotional roller coaster of a year.

I think there's a few we'd like to move on, but can't because nobody else will offer then the same salary.

It's our own fault, really.

Naverette to Wakefield according to the paper.

Good move IMO was great 2018, got a decent contract then dreadful last year.

Shouldn’t stand in the way of Partington, Byrne, Havard, Kilner etc
