If this had been Rugby League the "media" would have been all over it.

It’s ridiculous the differences across all sports in relation to both coverage and punishments.

It’s ok to do this sort of thing if you’re a well to do southern gentleman but if you’re a thick northerner then your dregs of the earth or at least that’s what seems to be portrayed.

Ah, good taste!
What a dreadful thing!
Taste is the enemy of creativeness.

surely thats the point of WADA isnt it? perhaps its time for UK govt to say that unless a sport signs up to and abides by WADA sanctions, it will not fund the sport - either prof or amateur

Whilst I agree regarding how the media perceive our game, I think a lot has to do with how our game reports these issues.

That RFU article is well written and includes good points from people within their parent organisation.

It also appears they have a full, well organised Anti-Doping programme (whether they do or not is irrelevant)

From the RFL's perspective, I think they'd rather the individual clubs take the flak and that's where the media reports fall to bits.

There's no cohesion. The same applies when it comes to general RL press releases, which are few and far between and mostly irrelevant.

That would hardly send a good message to the public, though, would it?

The RFU are loaded, well-organised, and can control their game and move it forwards.

The RFL don't know their ar$e from their elbow.
