Who said that? Certainly not me. We’ve got big problems and this thread is not about that. The thread started with are we happy that Wane went. Many of us are! Waney was fantastic for our club but he’d gone past his best before date. We needed a change and we got a change. Edwards played his part in our current situation as have injuries, the players and back room staff including Rads and the chairman. Our current situation does not sit solely with Adrian Lam and my point in this thread is that he should be given a FAIR crack at it.
He's been given a fair crack - very nearly 50% of his contract and we look hapless, particularly in defence, which has been the cornerstone of the Wigan team for years. That is down to coaching.
To blame Lam's inadequacies on injuries is unfair, it's part and parcel of the game.
Were you happy to spend your money and get that performance in return last night?

We’ve conceded 1 try in the last 2 games. We nilled Catalan a few weeks back so we clearly know how to defend. Did we blame the 62-0 against Wakefield on Waney? No, we accepted that there were mitigating factors that led to it. We now need to do it consistently though. Was I happy to spend my money last night? Absolutely I was. Just like I have for the last 40 years. Supporting a club is about ups and downs, not just ups and the ups feel a whole lot better after you’ve endured a few downs.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

to be fair I dont think ant of it is Lams fault, it lies with the powers that be

If you're happy spending your money watching that dismal rubbish, you're puddled.
Neither Holbrook or Price started well, they needed time to settle in before making progress. As for your Hardaker remark it shows you know very little about RL. He’s been by far our best and most consistent player this year. He’s always the one picked out for post match interviews on Wigan TV because he’s settling in as a leader. The way it’s going he’ll walk our player of the year. Bullock is right at home and has excelled everybody’s expectations. That doesn’t happen if you’re an outcast.
The players love Lammy and all support his philosophy. It won’t be long until there is a lot of egg on a lot of faces on here.
You are either, Mrs Lamm In which case I claim my £5, if not then you seriously need to up your medication.

Exactly, The first few games can be put down to the players getting used to Lams new coaching structures, The loses after that are obviously down to injury, Also add to that the rumoured coffee morning clique. We have seen pieces of tasty play in certain games so far, Once everybody is back fit I have no doubt we will click and play some fairly exiting rugby, Once the dead wood has been cut and new players brought in then we should be an exciting side again.
I don’t think we did anything earth shattering we wouldn’t have done under Wane last night. In fact I thought our attack really struggled for cohesion at times but our sheer will to win got us home comfortably.
Lam has done brilliantly well to turn things around and to do that with so much pressure on his shoulders has been a great effort but I don’t think he’s reinvented the wheel. It was as ‘Wigan’ a performance as we’ve seen in these crunch games over the years.
I think we’ll see more open play and changes next year.
