I know mate, really don’t like bagging players but at this level you shouldn’t have to be so nervous watching someone take a simple hit up incase they make a mistake.

Surely someone like Tom Olbison would’ve been worth a punt for this season when Widnes went down. (Especially with our type of signings in recent times) There’s a few steady, solid forwards about like him and we are stuck with TT...

I’d have Partington above him in the rankings currently. He’s no great shakes himself on the little we’ve seen but the lad is pretty error free and puts himself about in defence.

Tautai shouldn’t be seen in a Wigan shirt again IMO. The announcement he’d been subbed off was cheered to the rafters today and it was noticeable he didn’t come over to the fans at the end.

I honestly think Lam will be our coach for 2020 and maybe even further years to come.

I'm more down about this that I was in 2006? (I think) when we were terrible and in a battle for survival. At least then the club put their hand in their pocket bring in Noble, Fielden and Dobson. At the time Fielden was one of the best forwards if not the best in the world, today that'll never happen.

I honestly would sack Lam now. Put whoever else in charge. I'd like the rest of the season to work out if the players are genuinely that poor, or if playing for Lam, in 'Lam's style' has made them so poor.

Sorry Mr Lam, but we all now need to move on.

Rads and Lenagan need to be in to the senior pros and getting honest answers from the likes of Lockers, Leuluai, Flower and Farrell as to their thoughts on Lam and his long term credentials. The body language of the team was just awful today, with no talking, nobody leading the way and giving direction and they look rudderless. If there is to be a change then make it now and do what Saints did at the end of 2017 with Holbrook. He was given a few valuable months to take a look at his squad and get to know it’s strengths and weaknesses ahead of pre season.

Sadly I think Lam will come pretty cheap with no head coaches experience and no competition for his signature and that will probably be enough to get him the job.

Any of Navarette, Partington or Bryne would be better options next week. Its a shame as TT is capable of having a positive impact but the odd good run or offload can't make up for the number of errors and atrocious defence.

I hope to god they're interviewing other candidates currently. I hope it's not a forgone conclusion and they're seriously considering other options. Surely they can see what we all can see.
It'll be so depressing for fans to see him sign on for 2020... but I fully expect Lam to be in charge for next season.

It’s a big ‘if’ but ‘if’ the senior pros backed him and just feel the poor form is down to the upheaval of the season and a genuine lack of form, as opposed to really poor coaching then I could live with him being in charge but on the basis that he is backed with the signings we need to improve. In truth though the body language of those senior pros is so poor I don’t think they would back him. If this year is an audition for him and the players know that then they look hellbent on seeing him off.

I'd be amazed if Lam doesn't get the job for next season to be honest,Terrible today again I just dont see what his "style" brings to the table..maybe it is in part the squad of players he has but lets be fair this is beyond losing Tomkins etc now, the side look bereft of ideas, its time to either ship Lam out of say he's the boss for next season, this is getting silly now its time IL and KR grow a pair and name him, then let the cards fall where they may.

You sense they offered him the job a couple of months ago.

He wouldn't of helped much, usually plays for 15 to 20 minutes but only managed to play 8 minutes against Shudds before being pulled off. I like him and his aggressive style as he lifts the crowd and the team when he comes on. The trouble is he just doesn't seem able to do long minutes.

So couldn't Lockers do more? Surely the silence on the pitch suggests the senior pros don't back Lam?

It almost seems like the 'easy' option. From what I hear he's personal friends with Rads, and Rads backs his mate.
I hope Wigan aren't so short-sighted, all you have to do is watch how we play, the lack of structure, and how poorly players are performing under him.

Some coaches push players to levels we don't think they're capable of i.e. Craig Bellamy at Storm, Lam seems to be the exact opposite.

In comparison I would now if fans would prefer Lam or Wane for next season, and why.
