Can't disagree with much that has been said, We beat a very ordinary Leeds side thanks to good goal-kicking and a real dig in defence, but our attack is still way off and, as I've said before, we are way too reliant 0n Williams or Gildart producing some thing out of nothing.
Williams always produces nothing from nothing ....

Not getting too carried away. We were crying out for sammut in the last ten minutes IMO just to do some good clearing kicks. Poor long kicking game was inciting pressure. Great to win away from home but we need to improve.
Id stick sammut in the halves next week, Tommy to bench hooker. Greenwood to right back row and Isa to prop for Partington. And Hardaker to wing for Marshall.
Hankinson and Sarginson superb tonight. Sarge will go better linking into the attack after a proper weeks training.

Seriously? I can only think of Gildart on current form who would get in the Saints team.
Williams over one of Fages/Lomax and Burgess over Grace maybe? but other than that I’m not sure and I imagine saints fans probably would be happy keeping what they have but a lot can turn when a team is in form and I think on form our back row can more than match theirs. Similar with Hardaker over Coote even though I have been really impressed by Coote.

I think we may have lost had Sammut been introduced, his tackling is pretty ordinary and Leeds would have targeted that. It’s all in hindsight though. I do agree that our long kicking game was poor but that was mainly down to the pressure that Leeds put our kickers under. Leeds kickers had time to tie their laces as there was very little pressure placed on them. A wins a win though, like you say Sarginson (and I’m a critic of him) & Hankinson were superb tonight, in Hankinson have we found our new kicker?

I'm with the OP on this.
It's a cliché, but form is temporary. The majority of this team won a GF less than 12 months ago. We then lost 3 - 4 top players and that's taken us down a couple of levels. That suddenly doesn't mean the whole team is written off and we can't get back there if guys like Sam, Bateman & Sutton are adequately replaced. I'd go as far as to say if you put those three in this current side we'd easily be top three.

Anyone who wants criticise Sarignson needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. As always (same at HKR last week) another 80 minutes of tremendous effort.
And again, another 80 from Isa That must be his 17th/18th 80 in a row?
Steady Sir . Statements like that are not conductive to the agendas we like to cultivate on this forum. My large "Spoons"breckie with extra black pudding in Leeds City Centre this morning is going down rather well after last night . See you all in Huddersfield next week lol .
Some pretty big over reactions on here regarding Sarg,Powell and Isa, probably similar to the ones when we lose and they get flogged by fans. All 3 give their all on the pitch but lack quality, they are great squad players who ideally if we where in a good place would be back ups at full strength. Sarg and Isa have good utility value and Powell is great in defence and in a salary capped sport not everyone in your squad can be stars but let’s not get carried away with last night.
