Has been cleared (not guilty) of the eye gouging charge v Newcastle in the academy game a couple of weeks ago according to Phil Wilkinson on twitter.

I'd watched it on Wigan t.v. (79th minute) and the you really couldn't see anything from that camera angle. There was no reaction from the tackled player or any of his team mates which for something so serious I would have expected.

Good, Ethan deserves to feature in the play offs.

Deserves it yes but I’m not sure whether that is the right call. It’s one thing for a young prop to step up and play SL but the play offs and GF are a completely different kettle of fish, especially when he’s only made 1 SL appearance. For me the best and right thing is to keep him at U19’s and promote properly next season.

I assumed that the reference was to the U19s end of season rather than the SuperLeague.
