Ive seen enough

If we can get Flower and O'loughlin fit for the play offs and Greenwood something like his early season form, we can get to Old Trafford again and then anything can happen.

The first half showed what we can do. If we can start doing that for near 80 mins and cut out those second half errors then we are looking good.

We’ve a little way to go yet for me but we’re as good a chance as anyone bar Saints of making the big one. If we can get there then we have the knowhow to make life uncomfortable for anybody.

I agree and I don't think the 2nd half should be underestimated. There's some negativity regarding that on the other thread but I think there's a point being missed. That's the sort of defence that wins trophies. The defensive effort was the best I've seen since Cas last year in the playoffs and it was at that game that I knew I'd seen a side capable of taking out the title. Even down to 12 men and with repeated sets on our line tonight we never looked uncomfortable.

In addition we could, and perhaps should, have scored as many points in that second half as we did in the first despite comparatively little possession. The forward pass to French, the kick through for Marshall that just wouldn't sit up and the fumble by Gilly with the line begging could all have been tries on another day. OK, you might argue that in an '80 minute performance' they would have been but that doesn't take into account the conditions and the monumental defensive effort that probably blunted the attack a little.

With some important players still to come back and the likes of Greenwood and French to get fully up to speed, I reckon we'll have a say come October.

If we finish 4th it’s going to be very difficult to make OT.

Warrington have fixtures against Salford(a), Wakefield(H) and Leeds(A)
Hull have fixtures against Salford(H), Huddersfield(H), Castleford(A) and Saints(H)
Wigan have fixtures against Wakefield(A), Catalan(H), Castleford(H)

I cant see Wire dropping points, even though they have lost all their pre-Wembley games, nor can I see us dropping points, which keep them above us on points difference. I think 3rd spot will be between us and Hull, with it boiling down to how interested Saints are in that last game. Cas will beat Hull and take 5th spot.

I can see you lot finishing 3rd if Hull beat Salford today, Warrington for me down to 4th think they will only get one win against Wakefield. 5th spot will go to the last game of the season.

I’m not too fussed where we finish in the league. Each playoff game will be played on it’s merits and we are better than every team apart from the one we’d be likely to face in the final.

We show year after year, that when it comes to the crunch we can battle out wins against anyone, anywhere.

Bring it on!

Said it for a few weeks, wire will win next week, the pressure builds on Saints to not end without a major trophy, they meet us at OT and royally sh**e themselves.
Wigan know how to win this comp.

We’re having another Saturday night party at OT in October

I'd be surprised if Wire beat Salford on the Thursday following Wembley. If they do, they'll deserve their place in the top 2. Can't see it though whatever the result in the CC final.
