As a Hull fan, it was a joy to watch Hastings at the weekend. Absolutely fantastic player who will be fantastic for you next year

Great reading the very honest posts here. As a long suffering Salford fan, this season has been an incredible journey. Watson should be in with a shout at coach of the year. Smallest budget, smallest squad, and with the exception of Hastings, pretty much everyone elses cast-offs and a smattering of home-grown talent. (Yes we do have a few of those!)

Hastings is going to be a big miss for us. He's a winner and always gives his all. Apart from the quality he's shown on the pitch, you're also getting a great bloke off it. He didn't need to give us this season as Wigan were desperate for him last season, but he said he wanted to show a little loyalty in the team that gave him a second chance.

I'd love a Wigan Salford GF. I can't see past Saints and yourselves though. As long as it's not Wire, I'll be fine.

Why would they get walloped, strange attitude and one begging to be shoved back down your throat. Salford look good to me.

They remind me of Trinity two years back when we got stopped by Saints by a single try. We got knocked out but hardly a walloping.

It’s SL. It’s what happens, 9 times out of 10. It’s one of the things which makes our sport boringly predictable.

There are not many blow out scores in the play offs. Most are tightly fought contests and if Salford make the five, they’ve done because of good rugby and consistency. I don’t think they’d progress to the GF but I’m fairly sure they’ll give a good account of themselves.
