For all of you who want us to have our own ground of seems that Bolton Wanderers are going belly up. Just inside the Borough and with a whole new demographic to explore.

We went through this over 20 years ago when CP was being sold and we'd then no ground.
The wisdom then was that BW's stadium was not in the borough of Wigan.

So what? NRL teams play all over the place. Swinton play at Sale, Salford play at Eccles, etc.

Moving out of Wigan and taking on a big stadium ourselves rather than playing in Wigan with another big sports side helping foot the bill sounds like a great idea.

Middlebrook is in Horwich, Horwich is in Bolton borough. I would love us to have our own stadium but in Wigan and of our own making. DW is a better option than BW.

Sorry folks but I just could not resist lighting the blue touch paper. The very idea that we would want to take on a white elephant stadium which would alienate much of our support is likely to wind most supporters up but I had hoped to get a reaction from the " better off without the football" brigade or Fexit as I like to call them.

Believe me I'm not latics fan, but I'd rather have two clubs footing the bill, particularly as our attendances seem to be falling even with on field success.
