Head Coach Adrian Lam has named the Wigan Warriors 19-man squad to face Salford Red Devils at the DW Stadium this Friday (K.O. 7:45pm).
Wigan are set to host Salford for the second time in 2019 after beating Ian Watson’s side back in June 28-12. The Play-Off tie will be the fourth time the two sides have met this season, with the Warriors winning all three.
Team News
Second-row Liam Farrell returns to the 19-man squad after serving his one-match suspension. However, forward Ollie Partington misses out this week after receiving a one-match ban for a Grade A offence (strike with arm) vs Castleford Tigers last week.
Speaking earlier this week, Lam provided an update on the condition of centre Dan Sarginson, who left the field early last Thursday.
“We replaced him last week as a precautionary one regarding his hamstring. At the moment he is 50/50.”
Sarginson has been included in the 19-man squad to face Salford.
Liam Marshall, who hasn’t played since bagging a hat-trick vs Wakefield two weeks ago due to a hamstring injury, returns to the squad this week.
Lam also provided updates on prop-forward Joe Bullock and half-back Jarrod Sammut who have been missing since St Helens away (12th July) and Warrington at home (16th August) respectively.
“Joe Bullock is still two or three weeks away. Jarrod Sammut will start training this week but is still two weeks away.”
Half-back Jake Shorrocks remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Long-term injuries
Tom Davies (ankle)
Dom Manfredi (knee)

Agreed. How strange does it seem saying that though. Everyone happy if Burgess is dropped. Not so long ago he was a shoe in. The signing of French and the sheer graft that Marshall has put in to earn his spot has pushed him down the pecking order. Navarrette is a very lucky man that Partington is banned. Tautai mk II

Salford fan here, sorry to hijack the thread. Hopefully you can help me out. I have to shoot off to work straight after the game but ecmvery time I've been I've parked in the official car park but it's taken ages to get out, any advice where is good to park that is quickly walkable but I can get away quickly. Paying is not an issue but need to be at work ASAP after game because the person on lates is kindly staying behind to cover but they'll have done a 12 hr shift already before I would be due to take over so I need to get to work quickly. I'm torn between paying but leaving early and parking away from the car park with a walk so I can stay to the end and not get caught in traffic. Any advice would be appreciated

Depends which way your heading home after the game.
East lancs I would park near the deanery high school/pear tree pub side of things.
Head back put in the ringway and left at Wigan little theatre and on through golborne to east lancs (20mins to lancs, 25mins from lancs to salford).
If you want M6 then its newton side of things but traffic is usually poor that side.

The deanery high school side of things is a 5min walk longer but once your in the car your away much quicker
