So to divert the hysteria a little. Who do we want in SL next season. Featherstone for me. Would love to see them back in the big time although it would only probably be briefly. I understand the argument for moving the game away from the 'heartlands' and keep an eye on Newcastle etc who are making progress but this whole Toronto thing for me is a bit silly. Even if they have cash to burn it is logistically insane to have them in an English league. In my opinion anyway
Always thought Featherstone was a pretty unfriendly place to go. One of those typical mid-Yorkshire clubs, whose fans seemed to personally resent the arrival of an away crowd.
Would much rather give Toronto a chance. An essential breakout from the game's cash-strapped heartlands is long overdue. It may even be too late.
I hear what people say about a Canadian team in the British league being silly, but we've got a French team in it who have more than earned their place and yet who wouldn't exist if they had no option but to perform in some amateur set-up back home, so that genie is already out of the bottle.
What is Toronto’s financial situation? There was rumours of the money drying up, if so we don’t want a potentially embarrassing situation where they fold under a big spotlight. If there is plenty of money in the club then I’m happy for them to be in the league, we need all the rich people we can get in the Superleague imo.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.
having done both grounds numerous times, I'll take Toronto please! The atmosphere after games is brilliant, with people staying at the beer tents (which serve a wide variety of drinks!) rather than sloping straight off home.
Aside from that, Fev are largely Leeds reserves, so I definitely think they would go straight back down, whereas I could see Toronto staying up and picking up some scalps. Well done to Fev making it this far though. That's some effort turning over Tolouse in their own back yard.
Given the finances in Canada & the US, if Toronto don't get promoted, they could end up on a not that slow decline IMO. The rediculous Denver experiment & the retendering of the '25 WC has shown that there just isn't the interest over there to fully sustain several clubs (isn't the New York experiment a dead donkey now too?).
(Fev for me - we need to support the smaller clubs over here first & foremost, not pander to some glory boys' fantasies)
