Whilst listening on the radio like always i could not help notice Bilko and his friend where mentioning that Sammut Should have played last night as Tommy went off injured! He ripped Wakefield to shreds a month or 2 back and Cas away util he went off injured! The only thing i can think of is he had a argument with Lam backstage and that led to him not playing recently

I dont think so, what about Greenwood, did he also have an argument? What was the argument about?

Sammut does inject some speed and a bit of uncertainty but his defence can be sloppy and Tommy has much more experience of these kind of games and we couldnt of had both French and Sammut on the bench as our senior forwards seem unable to do more than 15-20 mins.

As poor as Tommy and George have been I’d much rather them than a championship standard at best Sammutt.

It did amuse me at times on here that Samutt was the man to change Wigan fortunes,off the back of a pre season friendly,I wasn’t convinced by him when he signed (why hasn’t he been at a top flight club his career?)it left to many questions to be answered and part from odd flashes here and there he didn’t much for me at least.

It could be he had words with Lam,Lam didn’t think he was up to it we will probably never know,would he have made a difference last night I have my doubts to be honest,it was inept from the off no one would have made a difference in my opinion

I think Sammut has done okay but I wouldn’t have had him on the bench in front of French, it was just unfortunate Tommy got injured.

I picked him before the game to have on the bench, wouldn’t have played Powell who was injured either.
