Few interesting ones there, French being the obvious one.

Surprised that Flower drops from the 13 rather than Clubb, big vote of confidence for Hankinson though.

I would assume the ideal starting 13 would be as 1-13 apart from Hastings for Tommy.

Ben missed a lot of game time last year, and so often when we could really have used him.

Clubb is a surprise though. He always gave the impression he was prepared to battle on, injured or not, but he wasn't always hugely effective.

Doesn't really give much away. I'm sure Manfredi will be first choice. Hastings obviously will be.

I'd be surprised if Clubb starts but who knows. Why is Isa left side 2nd row and Faz on the right?

I don't think French getting #6 necessarily means he'll play there as Hastings clearly asked for #31.

Whether Bibby and Clark being outside the top 20 means anything I'm not too sure.

I think Wigan would be happy to release anyone in that little cluster from 24 down to 27. Maybe Joe Greenwood as well, though I'd like to see him stay.

Not much to be read into it I reckon. For a good while they have preferred to give new signings high numbers in their first year (e.g Hardaker 20 last year, Sarginson, Bateman etc were 20odd in their first years too but played more or less every game). The only really interesting one to me is French getting 6. I'm not saying that means he's our first choice halfback as clearly Hastings will take one spot, but it surely means he'll play in the halves at some point.

Most say I'm suprised Navarette, Escare and Sammut are all still here. Strong candidates to go out on loan for the year surely.

Liam Paisley
Josh Ganson
Liam Forsyth
Samy Kibula
Callum Field
Caine Barnes

All given numbers last year but gone

I was under the impression that Liam Paisley had been signed by Barrow Raiders during the season on a permanent contract
