The question has to be asked in why did they leave in the first place? I get natural wastage but to lose 3 highly talented marketeers in a relatively small space of time? Doesn’t ring right to me

Pretty much each marquee sale, Wigan had a payday...
It paid back much of the wage for their period a Wigan back to the club for Bateman and Williams whereas Tomkins wage was preloaded for much of his. His high wage and contact extension being too much for IL after falling attendances I would guess.

Your correct that not many other clubs have players and coaches and staff poached like we do, that tells me we are doing things right. Producing players who go to play in the best competition within our game is not a negative in my opinion. Its a positive, the other option is produce sub standard players with no ambition and wait 65 years and counting to win a league title. I known which i would rather happen.

Perhaps, some in administration have left because of obtaining better jobs with a higher salary than what they got at the club.

Not always to do with the club doing it right, but sometimes, those in the jobs always keeping their options open in order to better themselves not only within the game, but even in other fields outside the game.

But the question was about 3 marketeers leaving - I think you'll find that Wigan get nothing for a "normal" employee resigning and moving to a different job.

Certainly, none of MY previous employers ever received compensation for me moving on to another job.

As an asset of that working environment, you had zero value.
