Warrington leading the way

Some of the increases in social media numbers are incredibly impressive. Sad that its all being led by an ex Wigan employee. Wouldn't it be great if we could get up to these standards?

On a related note any news on season ticket sales?

I’ve got two (for my and the little one)and haven’t had one for probably ten years, so hopefully they’re good signs.

Half of Warrington team are Wiganers even there chief executive is a Wiganer If Wigan did not exist Warrington would be in League 1

Let's hope the club were giving the hard sell of free U8s season tickets at all of the community clubs they were visiting last night.

Should have been doing just that. Offering enticements to local amateur clubs for bulk season tickets which include parents of U8’s.

There’s a whole strategy that could have been used to drive up sales

Did any of you guys watch the Adam Hills documentary on Friday night? I thought it was excellent for RL. Warrington do seem to have it sussed when it comes to promoting the game and working in the local community. Hopefully other clubs can/are following suit.

They do a great job. I notice Wigan have advertised for a new marketing manager today - hopefully we make a good appointment.

Yes it was absolutely remarkable though I think the Warrington aspect was a sideshow to the real story which was PDRL and the players quite astonishing stories.

I went to the fans forum a couple of months back and the guy in charge of our marketing spoke about Wires marketing campaigns being used to make waves and to try and get up there with the big boys like Saints, Leeds and Wigan. He said we see ourselves as not needing to be as bold, as noisy etc and that we’re trying to show we’re a leading rugby league brand by doing things with class. I’ll be honest it just sounded lazy, as though he felt our name and the signings we’ve made would just do the job. I’ve seen very little since to change my mind. If we can’t smash out huge numbers of season ticket ‘sales’ with free tickets for under 8’s on the back of the signings we’ve made them somebody isn’t doing their job properly. Maybe I’ll be amazed when they detail the numbers sold but there isn’t much noise at the minute.
