The club have shut it down. But strong rumours from several sources and press have said Jackson is planning on a U turn.

He’s currently in Oz, and looking to not come to Wigan.

What’s the other sources? Have only seen The S*n.

I still think he’ll come but it’s almost certainly going to be for one season.

If he doesn’t it means our HB’s are French and Tommy. Hardly inspiring is it? The club needs to act, and now, if there is any shred of truth to this rumour. It has to be put to bed in the next week or else it can seriously disrupt pre season preparations.

Would not surprise me in the least as following his outstanding season with Salford, it has bound to have had one or more Australian clubs offering contracts just as good as that by Wigan, if not better!

The fact that Hastings is in Australia and not pre season training with the squad, some of whom like himself have been on International Duty down under does not give any confidence that he will be wearing a Wigan shirt next season.

The club need to get the matter sorted out straight away, especially when at the present time, they are promoting the sale of season tickets!

As for the Sun newspaper which is owned by News Corporation, they have connections in the media of Australia who know alot about what is happening in the NRL and they also own Fox in Australia and Sky in our country. So any news about Rugby League in Australia by the Sun and Sky Sports should be taken seriously.

Hastings and Hardaker aren’t due to report to training up new year.

Lenegan has said he will be reporting to training later in December, everywhere else is reporting he’s staying put in Australia. Matty Smith is available.

Late December Wigan have said today but I’m not confident. One man can shut this down fully but he’s a Salford player according to his social media pages. He’s found time to post about Anthony Joshua but not to clear this situation up. He may come but unless he does that it’s clear that he’s at best keeping his options open.

Please no. He went well for us when he was here but he has had an alarming decline. Would be a step backwards just as much as Sammut was

I'm not sure after that last tour that he'd be much of a loss quality-wise, but it would still be a sickening blow to the fans.

Very poor by the man himself, who allegedly stood by Salford for an extra year through a sense of loyalty (not Dr Koukash's money at all).

Unless it turns out to be more fake news, which to be fair, has surrounded him since the day his signing was announced.
