Attendance 3700 for a one club genuine quality player.
Both teams with near full strength line ups.
What’s happening at Wigan people ?

It's a preseason friendly in freezing temperatures in the middle of January on a Sunday afternoon.

You’ve already asked the question on another thread, why open a new one, are you wanting some brownie points?

I think that years of inter breeding and the death of whippet racing has dislodged our ability to be think and act properly. Please send over a few thousand of your lads to impregnate our girls and get us back thankfully onto the straight and narrow road.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I look forward to more our your insightful comments and your impeccable use of the English grammar

It's worth remembering that some families struggle throughout January after the expense of Christmas & New Year (still a good ten days before some people get paid again).

I was lucky to be one of the 3,700 there BTW.

The standard of opposition over recent years and lack of away support also contributed.

After seeing pictures of the crowd, I cannot understand how the crowd could be as low as 3,700 when it looked like the 6,000 plus West Stand was over two thirds full.

Did not stop those who made the effort or even those shopping in the town centre.

And it was not just a friendly, but a testimonial for one of the loyal players of the club.

As for freezing temperatures, nothing compared to the many matches when games were played in the Winter, even before, during and after Christmas.

Hate to think how many today would have coped with the inclement weather of those hard days!

No doubt many many of the crowd had the same problems, but they made the effort.
