IL has raised possibilities of music concerts/festivals to take place at Robin Park Arena.

A good way of bringing in new revenue it would seem following on from successful concerts at LSV over the last few years.

I wonder what class of act could be enticed to play in Wigan. It has been a long time since a world class act played here without being from Wigan, possibly The Grateful Dead in 1972 but that was in Bickershaw.

And Captain Beefheart and don't forget Jeremy Beadle commentating. It is still one of the best concert CDs in my collection.

Would've given my left testicle to have been at Bickershaw, America, Captain Beefheart, Captain Beyond, Dr John, The Dead, Hawkwind & New Riders of The Purple Sage, some line up that like

I was in a push chair so I have no recollection but the Dead CD is amazing. But who would have thought that Wigan would recreate Woodstock?
