With what Ive just listened to from mend a hose we might agree Geoff Capes may be an option at prop.

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

From what I saw of Burgess against Warrington from the South Stand, it’ll be May before he’s fit to play rugby, seriously, that’s just cardiovascular fitness. He needs an intense fitness programme to get him up to speed and get him fit.

Nah his brother said he hadn’t seen him as fit for years and Lam was pondering playing him last night.
Just the usual bs spouted recently

They’ll probably bring him back against Saints and he’ll get decked in the first 5 minutes.

At face value I’d agree with yourself

Should we not be asking why Burgess is so unfit after training for a full pre season? What sort of training has he been doing?

Sam Burgess said he hadn’t seen him (George) as fit for years. If that was true, he’s Seemingly carrying an injury and why, therefore, didn’t the coaching team spot this?

If Sam Burgess’ comments were a load of rubbish, George could well be injury free but as he was floundering like a beached whale against Wire, he’s therefore light years away from being match fit. Why, therefore, didn’t the coaching team spot this?

Could he be both injured (hip) and unfit? Who knows. We could possibly get Vera in to try and solve it. Something rather strange going on here and the paying punters are being taken as idiots.

The problem with Burgess is that the hip problem is a degenerative problem that he will have to deal with for the rest of his life,or until he gets a hip replacement

If this is the case, we shouldn’t have touched him with a barge pole.

He had the problem when he was at souths so that argument doesn't stand up,what they should have done is given him game time in the reserves to build his fitness up
