Team for Cas : Thu Jan 30, 2020 11:33 pm
What we thinking?

Looks like Powell and G Burgess will drop out, so two players at least will come in. I thought Havard nailed his spot down tonight and another youngster in Harry Smith is likely to get his chance to do similar next week.

I’d go-

French
Marshall Hardaker Bibby Burgess
H Smith Hastings
Byrne Leuluai Bullock
Isa Farrell Lockers

Subs
Clubb Partington Havard Smithies
NSW

You’ve nailed it Nicky.

Massive chance for Smith to nail down the shirt.

One suggestion Borough on the bench too? Has Tommy got 80 min in him in the middle.

Bourouh’s defence worried me a bit in pre season but it would be handy to carry that back up. It could well be a chance for Jake Shorrocks.

It’s nice to have a few names to throw round.

Does Bourough not come in as 9? Be interesting to see if we decide that French is definitely our number 1 or move him to the halves as below

Zak
Marshall Bibby Hank Burgess
French Hastings
Partington Leuluai Clubb

I sense he’ll stay at fullback from Lams comments about him setting the league alight. I think he’d hold back if he had plans to change his role.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens if Flower is available. I can’t for the life of me think Bullock could miss out.

We do need some consistency in our team selections. Too often we make 4 or 5 changes to replace one player.

In Smith, Shorrocks and Burrough we surely have enough to replace like for like.

Clubb will have to do better to hold a spot down.

We should have signed Walker from Widnes.
