Saints v Roosters

What are we thinking?

I think it will be about 32-12 to the Roosters.

I hope for about 80-0 but we can't have everything. No England v Australia for me. All of me wants Saints to get hammered.

I hope for a St Helens win. English team v Australian team so local rivalry goes on the back burner for 80 mins.

Torn loyalties. Could never support an Aussie team over a Brit team, but Saints are our old foes. So ... coming at it as a neutral and hoping for a cracking game that sells RL well.

Saints have played the roosters/easts 3 times and have scored 2 points. Hopefully that doesn't change.

The constant SL v NRL crap that they push is just that. I don't give a stuff about Super League getting a win over an NRL team. I wouldn't cheer for St Helens if they were the last English side on Earth.

I quite fancied Saints to win but then I saw their squad and I’m not convinced. No Coote or Grace (unless they’re having people on) and talk they’ll risk Percival, who’s shoulder is knackered and will be operated on after the game. Add in Roby having not played for months and it’s tough to see them winning.

Hope Saints get absolutely smashed.

Imo the future of RL isn't trying to copy RU with its well established international game. The strength of our game is in the club and local rivalries, we should do more to promote that and in turn, I do honestly think the game would grow. .

We need both IMO. Bring back Lancs v Yorks and make it the selection process for England/GB who play a regular test series v Oz and/or NZ.

Club rivalry will always exist, but sadly (and it's an English thing not a rugby thing) some take that into the International stage. Whilst I wouldn't cheer for St Helens if my life depended on it, I will get behind every one of them when they pull on an England shirt.

Well, according to Eamonn McManus a Saints win would be the greatest achievement ever by a British club side in this competitions history.

Hope Saints get the win - they could have done with Coote playing but if the weather makes it a forward battle they've got a great chance.
