I’m not sure why you think Huddersfield would be worried by George Burgess.
If your comment is in reply to my comment about George Burgess, I am not thinking that Huddersfield would be afraid of him.
Merely making the point that now we have a Reserve team, he and indeed all players who have been out injured should play a game in the reserves to prove their match fitness before any selection to the first team.
Manfredi had to and see no difference for George Burgess.

Burgess should only come back into the first team IF he can put in a decent shift. Last thing we need is another fifteen minute spell littered with mistackles and low metres. By getting hiked off early wastes an interchange and puts pressure on the other forwards to cover.

No it was in response to the first post that said he was likely just named in the squad to worry Huddersfield. It looks as if all it’s done is worry the wigan fans

Correct, and the only way for a player to convince the Head Coach that is fully match fit is to play in a Reserve game.
I was under the impression that the whole purpose of having a Reserve League was not only to keep players more match fit, but also to give players not selected for a Super League game more playing time as well as well as proving that you are fit to play in the first team.

I was and still am in favour of a reserve league for the reasons you state. However, if you look at the fixtures Wigan have only two games in March and two in April so imo it isn't doing the job I hoped it would.

I don't understand why the reserves don't simply play the same side the first team plays
